The small, tranquil village of Rina stands at the head of the magnificent fjord, with the deep, lush, green valley of Vathi stretching back inland for almost 10 kilometres.

|
Descending into the valley is an unforgettable experience. As the road turns and starts its descent, the views of the fjord and the little port of Rina are breathtaking. In the valley, narrow roads, flanked by whitewashed walls wind their way through the citrus groves, villages, and traditional houses.

The small harbour front of Rina has a selection of tavernas. There are a few mini markets and a tourist shop in the village. There is a daily bus service into Pothia, and water taxis operate to the secluded beaches along the coast, as Rina does not have a beach of its own. However, you can always do as the locals do and swim from the jetty in the fjord.
Rina is a lovely little village, surrounded by fabulous scenery and the numerous tracks and paths through the valley make this an ideal place for walkers.
